SUMMARY Alto is a Catholic monthly periodical that combines the daily mass readings, liturgy of the hours, and reflections from Catholic creators. The periodical just launched this year and has been growing quickly! This role supports the editorial quality and integrity of Alto and related app and communications content by proofreading, manuscript editing, and developmentally editing materials at various stages of production, ensuring accuracy, house-style adherence, theological soundness, and performing editorial administrative tasks as assigned. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Proofreading content at various stages of production • Ensuring all content is accurate and complete, adheres to Ascension’s house style (as appropriate), and aligns with our mission • Developmental editing of content to ensure flow, quality, and tone • Review of materials as assigned for style, tone, brand consistency, and theological accuracy and completeness • Perform additional editorial work and duties as assigned by the product/project manager, including but not limited to: research, responding to editorial inquiries, processing imprimatur reviews, and editorial reviews of marketing materials, as needed • Occasional travel to Exton, PA required Requirements • Strong attention to detail • Ability to juggle multiple projects while still maintaining deadlines • Excellent written communication and critical reading skills • Effective coordination with teammates to hit delivery timelines • Ability to travel to the Ascension office in Exton, PA, occasionally. • Exemplify and live our core values of humility, passion, and integrity.
